Guilty Gear Strive's Digital Figure Is Pretty Nice
If you haven't known by now, Guilty Gear Strive has an in-game feature that allows you to toy around with the characters' models.
At first, there was a learning curve or should I say a lack of creativity on my part. It was mainly getting use to controlling the camera, finding the right angles and a bit of trying whatever. But a few days ago I started using the feature to create some decent looking thumbnails for my YouTube channel, the Riverside Game Center.
I think most that play Strive and create content treated Digital Figure as ArcSys way of saying, "we've added a way for you to make YouTube thumbnails." Of course I imagine there's other uses for it, like simply having fun with the characters. But below is a set of creations I've made and wanted to show off on the blog.
This one of Giovanna is my favorite as of right now. So much so that I've added to videos for the Riverside Game Center.
With this one I wanted to capture Zato's frustration from a video I made with him in it. Long story short, he made a bad call during a match that cost him the game.
If Giovanna was my favorite then this has to be second best. It turned out better than I had anticipated considering what I used it for. It looks like something cut from an anime.
I wanted to go for a sillier approach and this what came out. It's quite funny and makes sense when you understand what I've referencing.
I don't know where I was going with this one but I thought it made Chipp looked confused or in a state of shock. Picture him saying, “really?”
PEW PEW!
I really like this one too. I haven't used it for anything yet but Millia looks very afraid or disturbed by something.
This one was alright to me. Not as good looking as some others but I think it's fair.
I wanted to make Sol look cool even though I'll be using this piece for a video that doesn't. I also like how you can play around with the eyes. I did this with the I-No piece as well.
